Around 1900, safety engineers were appointed at a number of large companies in the Netherlands. Their secondary task was to guarantee the safety of the company. In 1934 they started in the Netherlands with the Security Act. The Safety Act of 1934 applied to workshops, factories and agricultural companies. In 1945, security inspectors were appointed at various companies to enforce the Security Act. The Working Conditions Act was established in 1980. The Working Conditions Act is also known as the Working Conditions Act. This law was introduced in the Netherlands in various steps from 1983. The Working Conditions Act replaced the Safety Act of 1934 (Technischwerken, 2017).
